Alice Mae Krembs, 87, 924 Michigan Ave., died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
A family prayer service and memorial will take place at a later date. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
Mrs. Krembs was born Sept. 11, 1912, in the town of Buena Vista, a daughter of the late John and Ida (Newby) Dorsha.
She graduated from Stevens Point Normal School (now University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point) in 1933. She received a master’s degree from UW-Stout in 1939 and another from UW-Oshkosh in 1969.
She was married to David Krembs on Aug. 25, 1942. He died July 16, 1980.
She taught at Chetek Public School for three years and in the Stevens Point Public School System for 27 years. She retired in 1976.
Survivors include one daughter, Carla Krembs, Stevens Point; two sons, David (Dorothy), Manitowish Waters, and Charles (Jane Kelly), Stevens Point; one brother, Greg Dorsha, Havre, Mont.; and two grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ken Dorsha.
