Stanley R. Wittenburg, 56, Wild Rose, a former Stevens Point resident, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hitterdahl Lutheran Church in Iola. Burial will be in Hitterdahl Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Voie Funeral Home in Iola.
Mr. Wittenburg was born Jan. 9, 1944, in Milwaukee, a son of Selma (Otto) Wittenburg, Hartford, and the late Adolph Wittenburg.
He was married to Sandra Frailing in Milwaukee. They later divorced.
He was married to Patsy (Inderdahl) Thomas on June 22, 1974, at Hitterdahl Lutheran Church in Iola. She survives.
He was a truck driver for Rock Transfer & Storage, Milwaukee.
Other survivors include five sons, Steven (Gayle) Wittenburg and Scott Wittenburg, both of Milwaukee, Jesse Wittenburg, Oshkosh, Michael Thomas, Stevens Point, and James Thomas, Sparta; two daughters, Susan (Mark) Cimbalnik, Waterford, and Mary Thomas, Wausau; two brothers, Roland (Shirley) and Dale (Alice Johnson), both of Milwaukee; one sister, Vivian Bertz, Neosho; and 13 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother.
