Harland Patrick Kinney, 78, Ventura, Calif., a Plover native, died Thursday, March 16, 2000, at his home.
Interment will be in the Forest Hill Mausoleum in Wisconsin Rapids.
Higgins Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, assisted the family with local arrangements.
Mr. Kinney was born June 10, 1921, in Plover, a son of the late H. Clyde “Pat” and Evelyn (Fowler) Kinney.
He served in the U.S., Army from 1942-45 and was a police officer for the city of Lake Forest, Ill., until his retirement in May 1976. He lived in Lake Bluff, Ill., until moving to Ventura in November 1996.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Ventura Elks Lodge.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Mrs. Frank Sneddon, Ventura, Calif.; one sister, Maude Steele, Yuma, Ariz.; and one stepgranddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Virginia; his second wife, Jewell Simon Kinney; and two brothers, Richard and Wayne.
