Elizabeth Skierka, 92, formerly of the town of Bevent (Marathon County), mother of a Stevens Point man, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at River Pines Center in Whiting.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent with the Rev. Rex Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and at the church Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the services. St. Ladislaus Rosary Society, of which she was a member, will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Monday.
Mrs. Skierka was born Nov. 20, 1907, in Bevent, a daughter of the late Anton and Augustyna (Goskowicz) Bulczak. She attended schools in the town of Bevent.
She was married to Anton Skierka on July 11, 1927, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. He died Oct. 6, 1979.
In 1936 they moved to Milwaukee for a short time where she worked in a candy factory. They returned and farmed in the Bevent area.
Survivors include one son, Frank (Betty), Stevens Point; six grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.
