Adolph F. Eiden, 96, 9586 County Trunk Z, Amherst Junction (town of New Hope), died Tuesday evening, April 11, 2000, at the River Pines Center.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. Friday at the church until the services. The parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Eiden was born July 9, 1903, in the town of New Hope, a son of the late John and Bertha (Gavinski) Eiden. He attended school in the town of New Hope.
He was married to Hattie Dombeck on June 18, 1935, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. She died Nov. 13, 1997.
After their marriage, they settled in the town of New Hope where they farmed. He also worked for the Rosholt Box Factory for many years until his retirement in 1974.
Survivors include three sons, Francis, Whiting, Albert (Mary Ann), Custer, and Gabriel, Amherst Junction; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, three stepsisters, one stepbrother and one grandson.
