Stanley “Mush” Kostusak, 82, 3200 Water St., died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Military services will be held by American Legion Post 485 of Rudolph at 11 a.m. Monday at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Rudolph, with concluding rites by Post 485.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until the services.
Mr. Kostusak was born May 8, 1917, in Wisconsin Rapids, a son of the late John and Veronica (Surman) Kostusak.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1943, serving for 38 months in the European Theater. After his discharge, he lived in Wisconsin Rapids, working for Consolidated Papers Inc.
He was married to Violet Nowinski in 1959. She died in July 1981.
They settled in Schofield and he worked for the Baer Beverage Co. for 28 years.
He also owned and operated the Sportsmen’s Bar in Wisconsin Rapids and then the Community Hall in Rudolph.
Survivors include one stepson, Michael (Nancy) Clement, Port Edwards; one brother, Leo, Washington; and a special friend, Elaine Frailing, Stevens Point.
