Sister Mary Gemelda Marsolek, 86, a Sister of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis for 65 years, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at St. Joseph Congregation.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the convent chapel with the Rev. Robert Greatorex officiating. Burial will follow in the convent cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 a.m. Monday at the convent. A vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel.
Memorials may be designated to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 1300 Maria Drive, Stevens Point.
The Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The former Cecilia Marsolek was born Aug. 7, 1913, in Independence, Wis., a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Skroch) Marsolek.
Sister Marsolek was received into the novitiate of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis on Aug. 5, 1935. She was a homemaker, sacristan and gardener for 40 years in convents in Minnesota, Indiana and Wisconsin.
In Stevens Point she served at River Pines Sanatorium, St. Peter Church and St. Joseph Congregational Home. Her retirement years were spent at the Congregational Home.
Survivors include two sisters, Rose Roskos, Black River Falls, and Bernadine Townsend, Cresthill, Ill.; nieces and nephews.
