Joseph J. Peskie, 84, 1691 County Trunk M, town of Carson (Mill Creek), died Tuesday evening, Feb. 22, 2000, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek with Deacon Robert Hensen officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. The parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Peskie was born March 19, 1915, in the town of Carson, a son of the late Stephen and Helen (Meyers) Peskie. He attended schools in the Mill Creek area.
He was married to Mary Yelczyn on June 21, 1947, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek.
After the marriage, they settled in the Mill Creek area in 1950 and lived at their present address the past 38 years. She died May 19, 1999.
He worked for the Soo Line Railroad (now Wisconsin Central) for more than 26 years, retiring in 1976.
Survivors include one son, Walter, Park Falls; and one brother, Harry (Regina), Stevens Point.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas; and two brothers, Ernest and James.
