John F. Weisbrod Jr., 78, Waupaca, a Portage County native, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, in Appleton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca with the Rev. James Vennix officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and from 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church until the services. A prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established.
Mr. Weisbrod was born Sept. 28, 1921, in Nelsonville, a son of the late John and Myrtle (Diver) Weisbrod.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was married to Doris Glodoski on Nov. 25, 1943, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church in Fancher.
He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles (Paula), Waupaca, and Jeff Weisbrod (Danna), Amherst; two daughters, Patricia Mignon, Appleton, and Margaret “Peggy” (Jim) Erickson, Waupaca; one brother, Charles (Della), Waupaca; three sisters, Helen Sherburn, Kenosha, Barbara Weisbrot, Nelsonville, and Ann Moore, Kaukauna; and six grandchildren.
