Joan L. (Wilson) Zarnke, Amherst Junction, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Nelsonville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dwight Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Nelsonville Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her name.
The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Zarnke was born March 10, 1941, in the town of Amherst, a daughter of Anton and Esther (Slettene) Anderson.
She was married to Staff Sgt. Leslie Wilson on May 12, 1961, in Madison. He died Dec. 28, 1968.
She was employed with Herrschners Inc. of Stevens Point taking telephone orders.
She was a member of the Nelsonville Lutheran Church and had been active with the Ladies Aid of the church.
Survivors include four daughters, Sherry (Walt) Doney, Genesee, Terri (Rick) Soper, Almond, Laurie (John) Swetalla, Park Ridge, and Karen (Mike) Dombrowski, Amherst Junction; two sons, Joel (Brandi) Zarnke and Brock Zarnke, both from Amherst Junction; her father, Anton Anderson, Amherst Junction; one sister, Janet (Michael) Hughes, Cascade; one brother, Richard (Sharon) Anderson, Amherst Junction; and six grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Betty Ann Anderson.
