Janet J. Mase, 71, Wausau, a Stevens Point native, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Brainard Funeral Home in Wausau, with the Rev. Jim Rowlette of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in McDill Cemetery in Whiting.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the local hospice program of one’s choice.
Mrs. Mase was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Marion Robert and Leatus B. (Monroe) Reed.
She attended Stevens Point schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1946.
She worked for Hardware Mutuals, now Sentry Insurance, after graduation.
She was married to Dr. John E. Mase on Dec. 18, 1948. He died in 1996.
After he completed dental school, they lived in Menominee, Mich., for 17 years, then moved to Wausau in 1968.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Susan Conn, Schofield, and Mary Beth (James) Wipfli, Wisconsin Rapids; one brother, Robert F. (Luella) Reed, Winneconne; and two grandchildren.
