Edwin J. Wojtalewicz, 73, 6185 Sharonwood Lane, Stevens Point, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 16, 2000, at the River Pines Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Saturday at the church until the services. The general rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Wojtalewicz was born March 25, 1926, in the town of Sharon, a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Wisniewski) Wojtalewicz.
He was married to Loretta Woyak on Oct. 27, 1945, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
He was employed in masonry and carpentry at E.B. Sommers Construction until his retirement in 1991.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Louise (Dave) Damitz, Sheboygan; two sons, Ken (Laurie) and Edwin (Diane), Stevens Point; four sisters, Emma (John) Ostrowski, Berlin, Stella (Peter) Cychosz, Custer, and Alvina (Frank) Marchel and Theresa (Edward) Lasinski, both of Stevens Point; four brothers, Benny (Marian), Campbellsport, and Chester (Florence), Emerick and Emil (Angie), all of Stevens Point; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
