Carol Esther Pinkowsky, 82, Lakewood, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at Portage County Health Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church in Townsend with the Rev. Gary Bratz officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Forest Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.
Suminski Funeral Home in Wabeno is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Pinkowsky was born Oct. 29, 1917, in Minocqua, a daughter of the late John and Henrietta (Kupper) Bosacki. She attended both grade and high school in Minocqua.
She was married in 1941 to Francis T. Pinkowsky, a career U.S. Army man. He died Jan. 16, 2000.
She traveled from coast to coast and lived in Japan and Germany for 20 years before settling in Wisconsin.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lakewood since 1969.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Dunkelberger, Harrisburg, Pa., and Frances (Dave) Melton, Stevens Point; one sister, Carmen Tubbs, Green Bay; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
