Agnes A. Helminiak, 98, 649 Portage St., died Wednesday evening, Feb. 2, 2000, at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Wisconsin Rapids.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Schaller officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. St. Peter’s Rosary Society Rose #14, of which she was a member, will combine with the parish rosary at 7 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Helminiak was born Feb. 1, 1902, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Razner) Niedbalski. She attended local grade schools and Almond High School.
She started working for the Wisconsin Telephone Co. in Stevens Point in 1920, holding many positions. She retired as a service assistant on Feb. 26, 1967, after 46 years, seven months of service.
She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Central State Club.
She was married to Daniel Helminiak on Sept. 28, 1931, at St. Stephen Catholic Church. After their marriage, they settled in Stevens Point. He died Nov. 28, 1994.
Survivors include one sister, Germaine Bachinski, Wisconsin Rapids; a sister-in-law, Helen Niedbalski; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Stanley, Emil and Anthony.
