Violet Beatrice Siem, 80, 1300 Briggs St., formerly of Junction City, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at St. Michael’s Hospital. She had been admitted on Friday.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Junction City with the Rev. Stephen M. Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park in Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Martens/Kundinger Funeral Home in Junction City and on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the services.
Mrs. Siem was born March 21, 1919, in Muskegon, Mich., a daughter of the late Edward and Esther (Magnuson) LeTarte. She attended schools in Muskegon.
She was married to Raymond Siem on Nov. 27, 1939, in Muskegon. He died in June 1977.
After their marriage, they farmed in the town of Carson in Portage County.
She was also employed at Auburndale Homes in Auburndale, St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point and Oakside Home in Stevens Point.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include one son, Gerald (Doris) Siem, Junction City; on sister, Helen Houston, Ravanna, Mich.; one brother, Harold (Ellen) LeTarte, Muskegon, Mich.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
