Stephen “Steve” Pezewski, 72, 824 Second St. N., died early Saturday morning, Jan. 29, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospice Care Unit in Marshfield.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. St. Isadore Men’s Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, of which he was a member, will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Monday.
Mr. Pezewski was born Aug. 3, 1927, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Alois and Mary (Gburek) Pezewski. He was never married.
He worked on the family farm and at the Preway Corp., Haertel Monument and Copps Fuel and Heating.
After his retirement, he tended bar at several local taverns.
Survivors include three brothers, Albert (Roberta) and Alois (Eleanore), both of Milwaukee, and Ben, Stevens Point; and eight sisters, Roseann (Victor) Byczynski, Junction City, Ann (Anthony) Drefcinski, Plover, and Frances (Hubert) Modrezewski, Elizabeth (Carl Sr.) Mocadlo, Veronica (Leonard) Kubowski, Mary Belling, Sophie (William Sr.) Kubisiak and Esther Sankey, all of Stevens Point.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Anton.
