Mary Jane Podoll, 69, 3240 Dalaney St., died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at St. Michel’s Hospital following a battle with cancer.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Catholic Church in Pelican Lake with the Rev. Michael Heyden officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery in Pelican Lake.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shuda Funeral Chapel and Friday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the services.
Mrs. Podoll was born July 7, 1930, in Appleton, a daughter of the late Daniel and Erna (Kuehnl) Boldt.
She graduated from Appleton East High School and worked at Melody Supper Club in Appleton.
She was married to William Podoll on Nov. 27, 1950, at the Catholic Church of Mackville, Wis.
They moved to Stevens Point in 1958 and ran Bill’s Pizza until retiring in 1988, when they moved to Pelican Lake.
After he died in 1994, she returned to Stevens Point.
She was an active member of the Stevens Point-Plover Breakfast Optimist Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn (Ronald Kluck) Podoll, and Susan (Jann) Van Dreser, Plover; four sisters, Carol (Gene) Smith, Menasha, LaVerne (Jim) Tetzlaff and Doris Thomas, both of Appleton, and Geraldine Wilson, Kaukauna; two brothers, Daniel (Corine) Boldt, Manitowoc, and Richard (Sandy) Boldt, Stevens Point; and two grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald, and one brother, Roger.
