Lillian M. Farmer, 81, 825 Whiting Ave., died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at Portage County Health Care Center.
A private visitation will be held at Boston Funeral Home. A public visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Stith Funeral Home, Danville, Ky. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bellvue Cemetery in Danville.
Mrs. Farmer was born Aug. 16, 1918, in Harrogate, Tenn., a daughter of the late Boyd and Ruby (Mansfield) Wise.
She attended Danville public schools and graduated from Centre College in Danville in 1940.
She worked as a dietician at various hospitals.
In September 1949, she was married to Merl L. Farmer in Chicago. He died Oct. 12, 1999.
They lived in Erlanger and South Fort Mitchell, Ky., before moving to Stevens Point in 1963, when he joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
She was a member of Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth, Madison, and Lee, Plainfield.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Vermell Wise, and one brother, Boyd Ashby Wise Jr.
