Irene M. Berkholtz, 72, Wisconsin Rapids, mother of two Portage County women, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at her residence.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids with the Rev. Al Helms officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Arpin Community Cemetery.
Mrs. Berkholtz was born Jan. 29, 1927, in Vesper, a daughter of the late Claus and Pearlietta (Pryne) Hoeneveld.
She was married to Lawrence E. Berkholtz on Aug. 13, 1948, in Wood County.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Candace Czaikowski, Wisconsin Rapids, Gloria Kohel, Plover, Carol Berkholtz, Vesper, Debra Wildish, Watertown, and Diane (Christopher) Reinwand, Custer; three sons, Dennis (Lucy), Milladore, Randolph (Irene), Vesper, and David (Paula), Port Edwards; one sister, Doris Itzen, Rio; one half-sister, Gladys, Wisconsin Rapids; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
