Gertrude Kawleski, 86, 2317 Maple Road, Junction City, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at St. Joseph’s Hospice Care Unit in Marshfield, where she had resided since Jan. 12.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Junction City with the Rev. John Wisneski officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Junction City.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Martens/Kundinger Funeral Home in Junction City and at the church from noon Monday until the services.
Memorials in her name may be designated to St. Michael Parish Building Fund.
Mrs. Kawleski was born Oct. 21, 1913, in the town of Eau Pleine in Portage County, a daughter of the late William and Bridget (Rutta) Kawleski. She attended Maple Valley School in the town of Eau Pleine.
She farmed in the town of Eau Pleine with her parents and brothers.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include four brothers, Bernard Kawleski and Steve (Dolores) Kawleski, both of Junction City, and Andrew Kawleski and Casimer Kawleski, both of Stevens Point; four sisters, Anne Kawleski and Frances Jankowski, both of Stevens Point, and Bridget Gorski and Grace (Andrew) Kieliszewski, both of Junction City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.
