Genevieve “Jean” Gawlik, 89, formerly of 2920 Porter Court, Plover, died early Tuesday morning, Jan. 11, 2000, at River Pines Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Fisher officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.
Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Gawlik was born June 5, 1910, in the town of Stockton, a daughter of the late Louis and Victoria (Wagner) Zurawski.
She was married to Andrew Gawlik on Jan. 9, 1928, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point. He died Jan. 22, 1999.
She was employed at the Point Bakery and Copps Co., retiring in 1974.
She was a member of St. Bronislava and St. Stanislaus Rosary societies. She also worked on dolls for St. Vincent De Paul.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret (Dave) Kirsling, Appleton, Marilyn (Richard) Simonis, Neenah, and Pat (Donald) Rutta, Plover; one son, Andrew (Marlene) Gawlik, Michigan; one brother, Ladislaus (Irene) Zurawski; one sister, Lillian Blackbourn, Green Bay; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
