Ella Mae (Schultz) Stewart, 77, Oro Grande, Calif., formerly of the town of Buena Vista, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, Calif.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Maximilian Parish/St. Martin Church in the town of Buena Vista with the Rev. Charles Hiebl officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.
Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.
Mrs. Stewart was born Aug. 1, 1922, in the town of Buena Vista, a daughter of the late John and Frances (Ciseski) Schultz.
She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. She worked in Wisconsin and Florida before moving to California where she worked for the state of California office in Santa Monica until her retirement. She then settled in her home in Oro Grande.
She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Victorville, Calif.
She was married to Jess Stewart in Victorville, Calif. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Marie (Joe) Mears, Deer Park, Texas; two sisters, Naomi Schultz, Stevens Point, and Bernice Raphoon, Chicago, Ill.; one step-sister, Eleanore Kelley, Stevens Point; one step-brother, Richard Guth, Halifax, Va.; one grandson; two nieces and one nephew.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Marie Schultz and Alvira Rufa, and two step-sisters, Virginia Pehoski and Ella Mae Frasch.
