Effie E. Banks, 85, Portage, a Portage County native, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Plainfield with the Rev. Denny Freese officiating. Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church until the services.
Gasperic Funeral Home in Plainfield assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Banks was born Dec. 16, 10914, in the town of Pine Grove, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ella Nigh.
She was married to Clifford R. Banks on Nov. 30, 1933, in Plainfield. He died Nov. 18, 1998.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Clifford Ronald (Shirley), Pardeeville; one daughter, Rebecca (Jack) Werner, Adams; one sister, Vila Mohr, Stevens Point; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
