Doris Ellet, 76, Reedsburg, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, in Madison. She was a former Amherst resident.
Services were Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. Interment was in the St. John Lutheran Church parish cemetery.
She was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Amherst, a daughter of the late William and Lucy (Glodowski) Kjer.
She was married to Richard D. Ellet on June 14, 1943. He died in 1969.
Survivors include five daughters, Nancy (Charles) Burrill, Topsham, Maine, Connie (Bob) Hill, Baraboo, Kathy (Don) Bederich, Reedsburg, Sandy (Norman) Snyder, Reedsburg, and Joan (Dan) VonBehren, Logansville; five sons, Steven (Bonnie) Ellet, Elkhart, Ind.; Rick (Judie) Ellet, LaValle, Bob (Karen) Ellet, Wonewoc, Kenny (Cindy) Ellet, Broken Arrow, Okla., and Ray Ellet, Reedsburg; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Norman (Bernice) Kjer, Amherst, Peter (Mary Lou) Kjer, Boston, and Leonard Kjer, Stevens Point; and two sisters, Donna (Chester) Trzebiatowski, Scandinavia, and Carla (Walter) Leppen, Nelsonville.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Myron Kjer, and four sisters, Mildred Woyak, Velma Frizzell, Lucille Taylor and Lillian Upthagrove.
