Delma Estelle Pike Hampton, 90, Bear Creek, Ala., mother of a Plover woman, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at Haleyville Health Care Center in Haleyville, Ala.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville with the Revs. Bill Pike, Richard Crumpton and Olen Burcham officiating. Burial will be in Bear Creek First Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Mrs. Hampton was born Nov. 5, 1909, a daughter of the late David and Mary Lula (Yates) Pike.
She lived in the area most of her life, moving from Randolph County, Alabama.
She was married to Earl Hampton on Dec. 16, 1928. He died in 1995.
She was a member of the Bear Creek First Baptist Church and was the church pianist.
Survivors include three daughters, Martha (Jim) Schuh, Plover, Glynda (Rudolph) Wilson, Bear Creek, Ala., and Mary (Larry) Thrasher, Cullman, Ala.; two sons, Clyde (Liz), Hamilton, Ala., and David (Toni), Tuscaloosa, Ala.; one brother, John Pike, Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Mary Lou Bradberry, Haleyville, Ala., and Lois Lauderdale, Bear Creek, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
