Alice A. Wallace, 89, 1077 Highway C, town of Linwood, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at the Portage County Health Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel Kozlowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery in the spring.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Boston Funeral Home. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Catholic Order of Foresters will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Wallace was born Jan. 4, 1911, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late John and Frances Frasch. She graduated from Emerson High School.
She was married to Lawrence R. Wallace on Jan. 14, 1930, in Stevens Point. He died Jan. 10, 1988.
She worked for Stevens Point Area Public Schools for more than 20 years, transporting kindergarten and handicapped children to school. She did volunteer work in later years for the Lincoln Center.
She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Jerem 1031, and a past member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Hedwig Court 745.
Survivors include one daughter, Beverly J. Laurent, Weyauwega; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, one brother and four sisters.
