Paul J. Guzman, 62, 3340 Patti Drive, Plover, died unexpectedly Tuesday Dec. 7, 1999, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home.
Mr. Guzman was born July 4, 1937, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Edward and Stella (Wiernik) Guzman.
He was married to Alyce Mellen in November 1959. The couple later divorced.
Mr. Guzman entered the U.S. Army on Jan. 24, 1957, in Milwaukee. He was specialist 4 with the 51st Ordinance Company. He received the Good Conduct Medal, a Letter of Appreciation and the Marksman Medal. He was honorably discharged Nov. 2, 1959, at Fort Sheridan, Ill.
He was employed at Consolidated Papers Wisconsin River Division for 33 years, retiring in 1992.
Survivors include four sons, Peter (Sheryl) Guzman, New York, Edward (Becky) Guzman, Stoughton, David Guzman, Madison, and Jule Guzman, Madison; two daughters, Anne (Tony) Kolasch, Evansville, and Paula (Dan) Menzel, Stevens Point; two brothers, Gregory (Judith) Guzman, Peoria, Ill., and Jim (Gerri) Guzman, Plover; one sister, Elizabeth Freeman, Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren; and a special friend, Mary Schwala.
A daughter, Maggie Jankowski, preceded him in death.
