Jack A. Cornell Sr., Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, father of a Stevens Point woman, died Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Main Chapel of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King with Deacon Donald Lobdell officiating. Burial will be in Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the Main Chapel.
Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Cornell was born Sept. 7, 1936, in LaPorte, Ind., a son of the late William and Mae (Sawyer) Cornell.
He served in the Air Force and later in the Army with the 82nd Airborne during the Korean Conflict.
He lived in Wisconsin Rapids and worked at Consolidated Papers Inc. for 30 years, retiring in 1995.
Survivors include six daughters, Debra (Pete) Sepeda, Stevens Point, Julie and Jeanette Cornell, Phoenix, Ariz., Sharon Cornell, Tomahawk, and Tiffany and Ashley Cornell, Wisconsin Rapids; one son, Jack (Fede), Vicenza, Italy; two brothers, John (Rose), Oshkosh, and Bill (Pat), Clifton, Colo.; five sisters, Phyllis (Stan) Rozak, Coon Rapids, Minn., Joanne (Joe) Hudy, Longville, Minn., Marcia Turner, Ham Lake, Minn., Sandra (Dan) Sulak, Louise, Texas, and Nancy (Robert) Marks, Berlin.
He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Glen Bargenquast, and a brother, Robert.
