Ira J. Wentler, 69, 2809 Stanley St., owner of Ira’s Maytag, died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at Peace United Church of Christ with the Rev. Shari Prestemon officiating. Burial will be in the Fassett Cemetery, Edgerton.
Masonic services will begin the memorial services at the church. A reception will follow services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the church.
Jensen-Jinsky Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Wentler was born July 16, 1930, in Edgerton, a son of the late Ira and Alma Wentler.
He was a member of the 32nd Division (Red Arrow) of the National Guard for nine years.
He was married to Pauline Bent on June 7, 1952.
He owned and operated Ira’s Maytag Home Appliance Center, 2809 Stanley St., since 1978.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Wentler and LuAnne (John) Knoke, both of Stevens Point; one son, Bruce, Portage; two brothers, Duane and Tom (Alice), both of Edgerton; and grandchildren.
