Garth R. Penney, 68, Amherst, died Monday, Dec. 6, 1999.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Amherst United Methodist Church with the Rev. Susan Gaul officiating.
Visitation will be from noon Friday until the services at the church.
Jungers-Holly Funeral Home, Amherst, assisted the family with arrangements.
A memorial has been established in his name.
Mr. Penney was born Jan. 24, 1931, in Amherst, a son of the late George W. and Winnie A. (Aldrich) Penney.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years.
He was married to Inge “Peggy” Ludwig on May 4, 1954, in Frankfurt, Germany.
He was a member of the Amherst United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Renate E. Fitzgerald, California, and Anita W. (John) Golke, Waupaca; two brothers, Roger (Else), Wyoming, and Bobby L. (Sandy), Waupaca; a sister, Marilyn E. Strebe, Amherst; a grandson, Ryan J. Golke, Waupaca; and a granddaughter, Bobbie M. Golke, Waupaca.
