Ernest T. Kurszewski, 72, Hartland, a town of Sharon native, died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, of lung cancer while under hospice care at home.
Services were held at St. Charles Catholic Church Dec. 23 with the Rev. Tom Deems officiating. Entombment was at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Milwaukee.
Visitation was held at the church prior to the services. The Luko-Evert Funeral Home, Hartland, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Kurszewski was born Nov. 9, 1927, in the town of Sharon, a son of the late John and Frances (Garski) Kurszewski.
He entered the U.S. Army on Nov. 29, 1950, at Milwaukee and was discharged on Oct. 29, 1952, at Fort Custer, Mich., as a corporal.
He was married to Muriel Repinski on Aug. 24, 1953, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia.
They lived in Milwaukee until moving to Hartland in 1973.
He was a supervisor at the A.O. Smith Corp. until retiring in 1986.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeffrey (Lauren), San Clemente, Calif., and Darrell, St. Joseph, Mo.; two daughters, Darlene (Terry) Edwards, Milwaukee, and Cheryl Kurszewski, Delafield; two brothers, Nick (Alvina), Rosholt, and Leo, Stevens Point; one sister, Florence (Chester) Scholiast, Rosholt; and six grandchildren.
Four brothers, five sisters and one granddaughter also preceded him in death.
