Edwin R. Green, 67, town of Saratoga (Wood County), a Stevens Point native, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Services were Tuesday at Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Dennis Grudznske officiating. Burial will be in DePine Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation was Tuesday at the funeral home prior to services.
Mr. Green was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Stevens Point, a son of Leo and Rose (Raikowski) Green.
He served in the U.S. Marines from 1949-1953 in Korea during the Korean War.
He was married to Sophia Bartkowiak on Jan. 14, 1956, in Bartlett, Ill.
He worked as a turbine operator at the hydro plant of Nekoosa Edwards Paper Co.
Survivors include his wife; one son, James, at home; three daughters, Kim, at home; Lynn (Dennis Kramer and Laurie (Michael) Miller, both of Wisconsin Rapids; seven sisters, Eleanore Green and Delores Green, both of Coloma, Judith Green, Wisconsin Rapids, Georgia (Roy) Berge, Rosholt, Sally Saric, Oak Creek, Ruth Reimer, Des Moines, Iowa, and Pricilla Wendtlandt, Madison; three brothers, Eugene and Timothy (Beth) Green, both of Coloma, and David (Kathy) Green, Anchorage, Alaska; and three grandchildren.
