Brenda L. (Tork) Fernlund, 41, Wasilla, Alaska, a former Stevens Point resident, died of cancer on Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, in Palmer, Alaska.
Services will be held Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Palmer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorial donations be made to the charity or church of one’s choice.
Mrs. Fernlund was born March 1, 1958, in Hudson, a daughter of Carol and James Tork, Stevens Point.
She graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School and lived in Stevens Point until moving to Anchorage, Alaska in 1981.
She was employed by New Horizons Telecommunications in Palmer, Alaska.
Survivors besides her parents include her husband, Leroy Fernlund, Wasilla; two sons, Nicholas and Matthew, Wasilla; and two sisters, Jamie C. Tork, Madison, and Pamela Duncan, Columbus, Ga.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Chris.
