Betty J. Schellin, 68, 1450 Water St., died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, at the home of her oldest son in Stevens Point.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Eland with the Rev. David Dukovan officiating. Interment will be in the spring in the town of Delta Cemetery in Bayfield County.
Visitation will be held at the church from 2 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services.
Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Schellin was born March 3, 1931, in Mellen, the daughter of the late Maurice and Alice (Drott) Petersen.
She graduated from Mellen High School in 1949.
She was married to Alvin Schellin on Dec. 16, 1950, in Iron River, Mich. He died April 9, 1977.
After their marriage, they farmed in Delta and later moved to Aniwa where they owned and operated a tavern.
She also worked as a factory employee until retiring for health reasons.
Survivors include four sons, Charles (Susan), Stevens Point, Dale (Bethany), Marysville, Ohio, Earl (Kathy), Mosinee, and Craig (Karen), Kenosha; one daughter, Roberta (William) Marble, Eland; one brother, Maurice (Janet) Petersen, Westminster, Calif.; two sisters, Josephine (Harold) Zakevoc, Highbridge, and Marion (Glen) Wood, Coon Rapids, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
