Barbara R. Mason, 57, 2917 Oak St., died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Shuda Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Alan Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday until the services at the funeral chapel.
Mrs. Mason was born Nov. 21, 1942, in Appleton, a daughter of the late Gerald G. and Elsie C. (Haaf) Zinda.
She moved to Stevens Point with her parents as a child, attended St. Stanislaus Elementary School and graduated from Maria High School in 1960.
She then attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Wausau.
She was married to Michael K. Mason on Oct. 26, 1963, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. They lived in Milwaukee until returning to Stevens Point in 1967. He died Jan. 16, 1994.
Mrs. Mason worked at the Rice Clinic since September of 1969 as a registered nurse and received her physician’s assistant license in 1993. She retired in February 1999 due to illness.
Survivors include one son, Brian (Kathleen), Green Bay; one daughter, Carla Mason, Stevens Point; one sister, Diane (Larry) Davies, Tucson, Ariz.; and one brother, Darryl (Julie) Zinda, Plover.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Craig.
