The Rev. F. W. Paul, 96, father of a Stevens Point man and a former Stevens Point resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, in St. Charles, Mo.
The Rev. Paul was born in Wright City, Mo., on Feb. 1, 1903.
After schooling at Elmhurst College (Illinois) and Eden Seminary in St. Louis, he was ordained to the ministry in the United Church of Christ and served churches in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa and North Dakota for more than 50 years.
He was married to Emma Frankenfeld on Jan. 31, 1931. She died in May of 1996.
The Pauls lived in Stevens Point for much of the period between fall 1994 and spring 1998 with his son Justus and his family.
The Rev. Paul was also survived by two other sons, Harold and David.
