Pauline E. Elder, 96, 2831 Maple Drive, Plover, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 30, 1999, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Funeral services were scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Housholder officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
Visitation was scheduled at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from noon until the services Friday.
Mrs. Elder was born May 16, 1903, in Stanley, a daughter of the late Howard and Mabel (Allington) Cummins.
She graduated from Stanley High School and worked as a telephone operator in Stanley.
She was married to Earl Elder on Aug. 12, 1931, in Unity. They lived in Stevens Point from 1941 to 1967 when they moved to Horseshoe Bend, Ark. They returned to the area in 1993. He died Jan. 6, 1994, and she lived at The Evergreens, 2831 Maple Drive, Plover, since April 1994.
She was a former member of the Portage County Homemakers and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Vivian (Richard) Dobbe, Rosholt, Nola Gondek, South Milwaukee, and Kathryn Kuplic, Wittenberg; one son, John, Iola; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
