Irene Zouski, 80, mother of a Plover man, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards.
Funeral services will be at noon Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa with the Rev. John Swing officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
Friends may call from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.
Mrs. Zouski was born March 12, 1919, in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late John and Monica (Pezall) Sobojinski.
She was married to Joseph Zouski on Oct. 29, 1938, in Necedah. He died Nov. 10, 1996.
She grew up in Wisconsin Dells and the couple lived there many years after the marriage.
She and her husband owned the 10/34 Club in Junction City for five years. She was employed as a cook at Portesi’s Restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids for many years.
Survivors include four daughters, Loretta Farina, Wisconsin Rapids, Carol (Byrl) Heinen and Sharon (Jerry) Kizewski, both of Nekoosa, and Deanna (Tom Evanson) Pittman, Wisconsin Rapids; three sons, Joseph Jr. (Anne), Blaine, Minn., Gerald (Cheryl), Plover, and Steven (Roberta), Nekoosa; three brothers, Eugene Sobojinski, Wisconsin Dells, Edward (Nancy) Sobojinski and Ervin (Carol) Sobojinski, both of Oshkosh; three sisters, Lucille Fritz and Virginia (Herman) Raatz, Oshkosh, and Eleanor (Carl) Raatz, Madison; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Rosemary Fritz; two brothers, John and Donald Sobojinski; and one grandson.
