Henry J. Lemanski, 85, 9723 County Road OO, Rosholt, died Saturday evening, Nov. 27, 1999, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date at King Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Lemanski was born May 17, 1914, in Milwaukee, a son of the late John and Helen (Kosobucki) Lemanski. He was orphaned at 5 months old and raised by his maternal grandparents, Michael and Mary Kosobucki.
He served with the U.S. Army in Europe from January 1944 to April 1945 with the 4trh Infantry 4th Quartermaster.
He was married to Tillie Kurszewski on Nov. 26, 1945, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt.
He was employed at Joerns Furniture for a brief time. He also owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of New Hope.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, John (Susan), New Berlin, and Robert, Rosholt; five daughters, Edith (Raymond) Grulkowski, Connie (Raymond) Sheptoski, Rothschild, Delores Strasser, Almond, Irene (Roger) Wierzba, Fenwood, and Linda Johnson, Plover; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
