Florence M. Isherwood, 88, 5911 Isherwood Road, Plover, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Buena Vista United Methodist Church with the Rev. Susan Gaul officiating. Burial will be in Plover Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Boston Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, and at the church from 1 p.m. until the services.
Memorials are established in her name for the Buena Vista United Methodist Church and Bellin College of Nursing, Green Bay.
Mrs. Isherwood was born June 13, 1911, in the town of Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Eugene and Bessie Fletcher. She attended Pleasant Valley grade school in the town of Buena Vista and graduated from Emerson High School in 1930. She graduated from Stevens Point Normal School in 1931 with a teaching certificate.
She taught grade school in Meehan for several years.
She was married to Raymond G. Isherwood on June 6, 1933, at Buena Vista United Methodist Church. She farmed with her husband, raising dairy cattle, chickens and oats. He died Aug. 24, 1985.
She was a lifetime member of Buena Vista United Methodist Church, the Buena Vista United Methodist Women, of which she was past president and secretary, an active participant in church suppers for decades and a Sunday school teacher in earlier years.
She was also a member of Arbutus Chapter 52 Order of Easter State, the White Shrine of Jerusalem and the South Plover Homemakers/HCE.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia (Jerry) Menzel, Fox River Grove, Ill.; three sons, Robert (Linda), Donald (Lynn) and Gary (Veronica), all of Plover; two sisters, Grace Fletcher, Plover, and Eileen (Curtis) Roe, Amherst Junction; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Curtis, Ray, Jerome and Kingsley; and two sisters, Audrey and Marjorie.
