Felix J. Konkol, 94, 2840 Hickory Drive, Plover, formerly of Arnott, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Nov. 9, 1999, at his home.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Friday at the church until the services. A parish rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Konkol was born April 28, 1905, in the town of Stockton, a son of the late Joseph and Frances (Piotrowski) Konkol.
He was married to Grace Somers on May 12, 1930, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. After the marriage the couple settled in the Arnott-Fancher area and lived at their present address the past six years.
He worked for the Portage County Highway Department for over 25 years, retiring in 1970.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Robert (Julie), Wisconsin Rapids, Raynold “Ray” (Germaine), town of Stockton, Eugene “Gene” (Donna), Plover, Cliff (Judy), Amherst, and David (Lori), Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Irene (Bob) Milanowski, Stevens Point; one brother, Frank, Plover; four sisters, Agnes Bannach, Susan Lovely, Rose Richter and Verna Schultz, all of Milwaukee; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
