Cecilia F. Omernik, 84, 7383 Highway Z, Custer, (town of Sharon) died Saturday afternoon Nov. 13, 1999, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia with the Rev. Herbert Zoromski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the services. The Sacred Heart Rosary Society, of which she was a lifelong member, will combine with the parish rosary at 7 p.m. Monday.
Mrs. Omernik was born Nov. 7, 1915, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the late Walter and Sophia (Gliwa) Lebryk. She attended schools in Chicago and St. Mary of Mount Carmel School in Fancher.
She was married to Myron Omernik Sr. on Jan. 29, 1938, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia.
After their marriage, they settled in the Polonia area and have lived at their present address the past 50 years. He died in 1968.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, reading and praying.
Survivors include five sons, Myron Jr. (Mary Ann), Gary (Ann) and Ron, all of Polonia; and Robert (Patsy) and Larry (Bonnie), both of Plover; five daughters, Donna (Dennis) Greco, Arnott, and Linda (Richard) Konkol, Nancy (Paul) Domaszek, Joanne Omernik and Denise Omernik, all of Polonia; one sister, Adeline Maslowski, Amherst Junction; 29 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, three brothers, one grandson and two granddaughters.
