Bernice Schroeder, 82, 316 Indiana Ave., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Berea Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Swigart officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at the Boston Funeral Home and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the services.
A memorial will be established in her name.
Mrs. Schroeder was born May 7, 1917, in Green Bay, a daughter of the late George and Nellie Stien.
She graduated from Stevens Point High School in 1935 and St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Green Bay in 1939. She also studied at the Moody Bible Institute in 1951 and art instruction schools in 1967.
She was married to William J. Schroeder on Jan. 12, 1946, in Milwaukee.
They lived in Reidsville, N.C., from 1950 to 1953, where she did missionary work for the First Baptist Church. They moved to Milwaukee in 1953 and she continued her missionary work with the Garfield Baptist Church.
They moved to Stevens Point in 1983.
Survivors include her husband; one brother, Clell (Bonita) Stien, Stevens Point; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon and Donald Stien.
