Bernice “Bunny” (Whiting) Bishop, formerly of Stevens Point, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, in Randolph.
Funeral services were held in Waupaca.
Mrs. Bishop was born Oct. 8, 1909, in Tomah, a daughter of the late Albert M. and Myrtle (Dickinson) Whiting.
She graduated from Racine High School. She moved to Stevens Point and worked at Whiting Hotel.
She was married to Rexford E. Bishop in 1937 and lived on Strongs Avenue and Brawley Street. He was a sales manager at Bake-Rite Baking and a captain who headed the National Guard unit in Stevens Point.
They moved to Wautoma in 1947 and then to Waupaca.
She worked for Drs. John Steiner and Kenneth Haman in Waupaca, as a medical secretary before retiring in 1971.
Survivors include a son, Barry R. (Vicki), Naples, Fla.; a daughter, Bronwyn G. (Robert) Zondag, Randolph; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
