Stanley J. Cieslewicz, 70, Janesville, a Rosholt native, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Vencor Hospital in Milwaukee after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Janesville with the Rev. Ray Kertz officiating. A graveside service was held Thursday at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Rosholt with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating.
Visitation was held at the church prior to services Wednesday. The Hansen Funeral Home, Janesville, assisted the family with arrangements.

Mr. Cieslewicz was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Rosholt, a son of the late Stanley A. and Clara (Ziolkowski) Cieslewicz.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force in the Philippines during World War II.
He was married to Virginia “Ginny” M. Zdroik on May 29, 1954, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt.
He was employed as an accountant at Gibbs Mfg., Janesville.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Mark M. (Amy), Cherry Hill., N.J., Lt. Col. Stanley J., Heidelberg, Germany, William A. (Lisa), Cincinnati, Ohio, Paul J., Boulder, Colo., and Gregory J. (Christina), Madison; six brothers, Vincent (Helen), Casey (Terry), Anthony (Jean), Martin (Mary), Thomas (Doris) and Michael (Enid); six sisters, Annette (Francis) Mozuch, Mary (Hubert) Sherfinski, Rosalie (Richard) Sloan, Josephine Smith, Frances “Pat” West and Clara Mae (David) Jozwiak; and five grandchildren.
