Regina “Jean” B. Falkavage, 83, 808 Smith St., died Thursday afternoon, Oct. 28, 1999, at the Portage County Health Care Center.
Funeral services were Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. James Leary officiating. Burial was in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation was at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. The St. Peter’s Rosary Society Rose #25, the Secular Order of Franciscans and the Catholic Order of Foresters, of which she was a member, combined with the parish rosary Friday.
Mrs. Falkavage was born Aug. 31, 1816, in the town of Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Valentine and Lucy (Sopa) Stuczynski. She attended Prairie School.
She was married to Martin M. Falkavage on June 19, 1939, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. He died June 14, 1964.
After their marriage, they settled at their present address and lived there the past 60 years.
Mrs. Falkavage worked for Saga Foods at DeBot Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, retiring in 1985.
Survivors include one daughter, Katherine M. Bruski, Jacksonville, Fla.; on brother, Bonifus “Barney” (Joan) Stuczynski, Milwaukee; three sisters, Sister Mariella Stuczynski, S.S.J., Bartlett, Ill., Sister Elenor Stuczynski, S.S.J., Stevens Point, and Esther (Tony) Wisniewski, Milwaukee; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Kenneth; three brothers and one sister.
