Maryann Genevieve Liebe, 88, formerly of 417 Morgan St., Junction City, died on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at River Pines Center in Whiting, where she had been a resident since April 8, 1996.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Junction City with the Rev. John A. Wisneski officiating. Ann Haasl will be the organist along with St. Michael’s Church Funeral Choir. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Junction City.
Friends may call at the church from 12:30 p.m. Friday until the services.
The Marten/Kundinger Funeral Home in Junction City assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Liebe was born Dec. 18, 1910, in Wausau, a daughter of the late Charles and Pauline (Wundrok) Dehlinger. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Stevens Point and graduated from Emerson High School in Stevens Point.
She was married to Bernard Liebe on May 17, 1930, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point. He died March 25, 1985.
She was a telephone operator for various telephone companies. Her last employment was with the Milwaukee Journal as a telephone operator.
Survivors include one daughter, Bernadine C. (William) Brey, Fredonia; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
