Iva M. Kallevig, 86, 271 Lucerne Drive, Plover, formerly of Eveleth, Minn., mother of a Stevens Point woman, died on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at United in Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth with the Revs. Daniel L. Johns and Eric Lemonholm officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home, Eveleth, and at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the services. Boston Funeral Home assisted the family with local arrangements.
Mrs. Kallevig was born Dec. 1, 1912, in Virginia, Minn., to John G. and Margit (Rue) Brandt.
She graduated from Virginia High School and the Duluth Business University.
She was married to Leonard A. Kallevig on Feb. 23, 1935, in Hibbing, Minn., and had been a longtime resident of Eveleth. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the United in Christ Lutheran Church, the Hobby Club and the Women of ELCA.
Survivors include six daughters, Phyllis Skorseth, Plover, Karen (James) Seaholm, St. Paul, Minn., Iva Jean Vedo, Eveleth, Minn., Nancy (Duane) Nelson, Duluth, Minn., Janet (Larry) Barg, Eveleth, Minn., and Debbie Spencer, Albertville, Minn.; five sons, John (Loretta), St. Paul, Minn., Lawrence (Pauline), Wabasso, Minn., Kermit (Connie), Overland Park, Kansas, Thomas (Rosemary), Eveleth, Minn., and James (Christine), Brecksville, Ohio; three sisters, Ruth Brandt, Duluth, Minn., Lucille Lemke, St. Paul, Minn., and Lois Miller, Austin, Texas; one brother, Richard (Ardis) Brandt, Brooklyn Center, Minn.; 29 grandchildren including Tracy (Jeff) Kujawa, Plover; 34 great-grandchildren, including Joshua, Kara and Garratt Kujawa; and one great-great-grandchild.
