Elmer A. Osowski, 71, 416 Highway 34, Junction City, died Friday afternoon, Oct. 15, 1999, at his residence, “Praise the Lord Valley Tree Farm.”
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Philip Catholic Church in Rudolph with the Revs. John Hogan and Chester Osowski officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Higgins Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. A parish prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Osowski was born June 16, 1928, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Nicholas and Regina (Studinski) Osowski.
He was married to Lillian Schulist on Jan. 10, 1948, in Stevens Point.
He was employed by Consolidated Papers Inc., Kraft Division, as a welder. He retired in 1991 after 43 years of service.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Paul (Patty) and James (Sandi), both of Marshfield, Thomas (Pat), Jerome (Deb) and David (Cindae), all of Wisconsin Rapids, and Philip (Lori), Nekoosa; 10 daughters, Joannie (Jim) Brumbaugh and Linda (Jim) Shaffer, both of Marshfield, Anita (Bruce) Ford, Chicago, Ill., Jean (Pat) Gillis, Nekoosa, Nancy Osowski and Maria (Richard) Wolfe, both of Wisconsin Rapids, Angela (Brian) Light, San Jose, Calif., Peggy (Nick) Elmhorst, Rudolph, and Pamela Osowski and Patti Thomas, both of Junction City; one sister, Betty Osowski, Minnesota; 33 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Leonard.
