Donald H. Martin, 73, 600 North Oak Road, Custer, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Jensen-Jinsky Funeral Home, Plover, with the Rev. Gerald Fisher officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. Sunday until the services.
Memorials in his memory may be designated to United Way of Portage County.
Mr. Martin was born April 25, 1926, in Garnet, Wis., a son of the late Arnold and Elizabeth Martin.
He graduated from New Holstein High School in 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was married to Elaine Marie Schultz on June 25, 1949.
He worked for GTE for 39 years, serving as a general manager.
He was a member of the American Legion, the Elks Club and the Church of the Resurrection in Fort Myers, Fla.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Cindy (Terry) Davis, Custer; two sons, Dr. Gary (Janalee), Marshfield, and Thomas, (Kay), Lawrenceville, Ga.; one sister, June (Jim) McMunn, Oconto; and five grandchildren.
